The YWP service begins with your complimentary initial consultation, which is held at a location of your choice and a time convenient to you. Whether you are at a total loss as to where to begin or have already set the wheels in motion, we will discuss any plans you have already made, the vision that You have for the day and what level of assistance you need to ensure you have a perfect day. Whether it be full or partial planning, on the day assistance, venue or supplier sourcing, wedding invitation management of gift list administration, you can be assured of our full and personal attention.

From the initial planning stages of finding the perfect venue to waving you off into the sunset to the Bridal suite on your wedding night, we will support you on your journey. This package is designed for the couple who would like all the expertise of a Wedding Planner to ensure their day is totally perfect the way they want it, without the associated stress and time constraints created by doing it themselves. Our partial planning service is designed for clients who have already planned or wish to plan the bulk of their wedding themselves and want to hand over the reins prior to the big day so they have time to wind down in preparation for the wedding itself.
We will liaise with all your suppliers and confirm your contractual agreements, finalise arrangements and timings and ensure there are open channels of communication. We will chase up outstanding RSVP’s, accommodation and dietary requirements with your invited guests, liaise with all the important members of your bridal party and run any last minute errands to ensure your day runs smoothly.
If you have done all the hard work and organised your own wedding and have decided that you want to relax and enjoy your day without having to worry about any of the arrangements, then this is the service for you.
We will have a handover consultation one month before the wedding for you to go through your plans and requirements in detail. We will then have a follow up meeting 5–10 days before the wedding to finalise the agenda and timings. We will confirm all your supplier schedules and arrangements on the days before the wedding. On the day, we will take care of all the last minute preparations, assist with setting up the venue, liaise with the Bridal party, supervise your agenda and stay in discreet attendance until your evening is fully underway.
Following an initial meeting and in accordance with your brief and budget, we will research up to five venues on your behalf and present you with a report detailing photographs and fact sheets about each. We will accompany you to your preferred three venues until you are happy that we have found the perfect setting for your special day. We will then liaise with the venue to secure the booking contract in accordance with your requirements.
From photographers to ice sculptures, vintage tableware to fireworks, we will research suppliers in accordance with your brief. We will negotiate the best prices and being totally independent will pass any discounts we secure onto you saving you money at every opportunity. We only use recommended Yorkshire based suppliers where possible of the highest quality and reliability. We will present you with a range of options for each supplier type and accompany you to appointments should you require. We will prepare a report for five suppliers for you to select from.
Deciding who to invite to your wedding can be joyful task or a minefield of family politics, but either way, once you have your guest list you do need to send out the invitations. This can be very time consuming and can eat into your valuable planning time. We will take control of this for you. We can send out Save the Date cards and invitations on your behalf. Maintaining a database of your invited guests, we will chase RSVP’s for acceptances, note dietary requirements for your caterer, advise of local accommodation and make bookings if required. For those guests travelling to your wedding we will ensure they have relevant timetables, maps, itinerary and point of contact for the day. We will manage your evening invites if you are having additional guests later in the proceedings and ensure you have a back up list to call upon for the main ceremony.
We will handle all administrative tasks related to your wedding. We will confirm and manage suppliers, order samples, arrange meetings and ensure payments are made on time. We will manage your budget and deal with all related correspondence, emails and telephone calls. We will ensure all contracts and agreements are in accordance with your instructions and ensure you have the necessary insurance for your day.
Having owned and run a Bridal Salon and Photographic Studio for five years, Tracie at The Yorkshire Wedding Planner has a wealth of experience to advise and guide you in finding your perfect dress. Taking into account every element of your wedding, your wish list, your personality and budget she will help to co-ordinate your attendants’ outfits and those of other members of the Bridal party.
The first step is to meet for a chat. This can be at a time and a place of your choosing and as simple as this sounds, the purpose of the meeting is to get to know each other. I need you and your partner to feel completely comfortable working with me and I need to know that I can work with you. Face to face meetings are preferable, but should circumstances prevent this, our initial meeting can be conducted via Facetime or Skype.
I like these meetings as they allow me to find out who you are and to hear your love story, as well as your hopes and dreams for your perfect wedding. They also allow me to understand the dynamics of your relationship with each other and your nearest & dearest, your work schedules, the demands on your time and most importantly, how I can help relieve any stresses and pressures so that you can both relax and enjoy the whole process through to your special day.
No two meetings are the same. You may wish to discuss your ideas in detail and any plans you have made so far or you may wish to just have a general discussion about your requirements. I will ask you for some basic information regarding your wedding and together we will agree on the level of service you need me to provide.
Following our meeting, you can then make an informed decision. I do understand that most couples meet at least one other Wedding Planner before making their decision. I just ask that you let me know in a timely manner.
Step 2 - Confirming your booking. Once you have decided you want to go ahead, I will issue you with a contract detailing the package you have booked, the agreed duties I will execute as your planner and my terms and conditions. Both you and your partner will be required to sign the agreement and return a copy along with a 50% deposit. Once the deposit has been received and payment has cleared, your wedding date will be secured.
Step 3 - The fun begins! Depending on the package you have chosen, we will set a date for our first planning meeting and off we go. I will be at your disposal via telephone, text or Facetime from 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday and email 24/7 throughout the entire planning process unless otherwise agreed.
Final step - The Wedding Day!! No matter which level of planning assistance you have booked, I will be there on your day. I will oversee the entire day from first thing through to the evening celebration. All you have to do is relax and enjoy.
